I’m Owen, and I am from the United States, although I’m currently based in the Netherlands. I like to make videos! I have experience with all sorts of different video projects, from short-form content like Instagram Reels and TikToks to long form, like documentaries and short films. I am eager to put my skills and dedication to use and help create content that is both engaging and exciting.

Creating digital media has been an obsession of mine since childhood. When I discover something that captivates me – whether it be a new technique or style – I dedicate hours into both learning and mastering every minute detail. It is this same comprehensive approach that has been what’s pushed me beyond the expectations of friends, family, and mentors alike, driving me to create content that truly stands apart from the rest. This passion led me to pursue a degree in Media & Culture at the University of Amsterdam, where I developed a more nuanced understanding of global media landscapes and critical, diverse storytelling techniques. My academic years served to enhance my theoretical insights and practical skills – attributes necessary for creating compelling stories that stand out in a fast-paced digital landscape of which it has becoming increasingly difficult to do so.

My professional experiences have further refined my ability to work effectively in diverse team environments, too. Whether it was leading teams in high-energy customer service roles or contributing to collaborative projects in creative spaces like OT301, I have consistently demonstrated strong communication, adaptability, and leadership. These experiences have prepared me to thrive in dynamic settings where innovation and collaboration are essential.

My Expertise

  • With a near mastery in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, I know how to transform your raw footage into something fresh and breathtaking. I’ve been using this software since I was a child, so I hope you’ll trust me when I tell you I know what I’m doing.

  • Having helped shoot a variety of creative projects, I know my way around a camera — and I know how to capture a scene with finesse and beauty. Whether you require assistance for an Instagram story or a corporate advertisement, I know how to shoot it in accordance with your brand vision.

  • While working with 3D software like Blender has been a recent addition to my filmography skillset, I am already more than capable in making content such as kinetic logos and entire lively scenes that would surely elevate any given creative project.

  • Having operated with Adobe After Effects since I was young, visual effects are my filmography roots. Understanding the ins and outs of that software has been a favorite pastime of mine, and being given the opportunity to augment your creative vision using my skills and passion for VFX would be a dream come true.

  • As someone who understands the many moving parts in the creative process of filmmaking and content creation, I have found it necessary to have the capability to plan projects in order to stay on time and under budget. Whether I’m leading this planning process and allocating responsibilities myself or working alongside other like-minded, goal-oriented folks, I work hard to ensure the production process is smooth and pleasant.

  • I am, for better or for worse, deeply entangled with all forms of visual media. Social media, film and television, you name it, and I’m engaged with it. With this entanglement, though, comes a profound knowledge of what works, and what doesn’t. I know what will capture people’s attention, and what will not.
